Comms Coordinator

acta is looking for a new full-time Communications Coordinator to start in December or January.

Summary of responsibilities – To work with the core staff team to co-ordinate all acta communications, (including website, social media, telephone and users of the acta centre);  graphic design and programme marketing (audiences & participants) and front of house management of shows and events.

It is an exciting time to join acta, as the Company approaches its 35 year celebration next Autumn.

The post will support the small artistic team delivering acta’s busy programme of community theatre workshops and shows, and take lead responsibility for marketing of all acta shows.

Audience development within the acta programme is part of a broader cycle of engagement, with initial participation leading to community performers making their own theatre, inviting friends and family to watch their shows, and audiences then being inspired to join their own participatory workshops.

Line Manager – Reporting directly to Helen Tomlin, Executive Director (Senior Management Team)

Salary£25,750 (job scored on 120 points, acta job evaluation framework)

Contract terms & conditions – Based at acta centre, 38 hours weekly (includes some evenings and occasional weekends – Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) is permitted, but no overtime), flexible working hours, 3 month probationary period, 30 days annual leave (excluding public holidays), NEST pension scheme.
