Films from Lockdown

The Premiere…

On the 21 – 23 July 2020, we premiered six films over three evenings: consisting of wonderful theatre, devised and created during lockdown – all from acta’s theatre groups.

These events are now available to re-watch on demand over on acta’s YouTube channel at “acta community theatre“.

Below are descriptions of the projects and films from each night:

Their teacher is new.
What could possibly be wrong?

Phoenix present “Just Us”

After a series of world disasters, very few people are left.
Those that have survived are struggling to carve out a new life for themselves.
Struggling to come to terms with all that they’ve lost, they must learn to work together…

Weds 22 July 6pm: Rapport & acta company

Rapport present “Songs from Home”

Thurs 23 July 6pm: Lockleaze Kids Theatre

Lockleaze Yrs 1 & 2 present “The Magical Tree”

The children were bored of being inside when they received an exciting letter in the post.
It invited them to go on a magical adventure.
It turned out to be an adventure they’d never forget!

Lockleaze Yrs 3, 4, 5 present “The Secrets of the Lake”

It was an average Saturday in Lockleaze.
The children heard a magical sound.
It was coming from their window… they could not believe what they saw.
Join the children as they meet the most unusual creatures, and explore the magic within Lockleaze.
