An original show of traditional stories from the different cultures represented in the Redcliffe community.
120 local children, aged between 7 and 10 years, have created their own show using narration, music and physical theatre to tell these four tales from around the world. An original interpretation of a traditional Zulu tale; The Dragon of Krakow, a Polish folktale; The King’s daughter, a story from Somalia; and The Goblins turn to Stone, a Dutch folktale.
This Redcliffe community show is being presented as part of Black History month, and is the only public performance of the show.
There are a whole range of other local arts projects for people of all ages living in Redcliffe & Bedminster, being offered through the Get Together project.
