The untold story of the women who made mustard gas.
This exceptional WWI centenary show from Avonmouth, Bristol is back at actacentre before a regional tour.
We quietly launched local film-maker, Benjie Croce’s, fabulous documentary of acta’s Gas Girls WWI centenary project this summer. It can be viewed online …
The acta Centre was packed to the rafters with an eager audience for the three special preview performances of Gas Girls, at the end of March, which were a huge success.
Photographs from the preview performances now available.
Arts Council Grants for the Arts have announced their support for Gas Girls, acta’s project to commemorate the centenary of the start of WWI; to research, develop, create and perform a touring community theatre show, to tell the story of the women who worked at the mustard gas factory in Avonmouth, North Bristol.
