New participants and volunteers wanted!
For isolated or lonely people, and supported by a local volunteer team, a participatory arts session for people to come together to share stories and be creative, also with a hot meal and minibus transport.
Making Time delivers a range of intergenerational project initiatives.
Two new opportunities weekly on Fridays: 1.30 – 3.00pm at acta centre with Katie, arts workshops to share interests and ideas, and try new things, all welcome aged 55 yrs & over; and at St Mary Redcliffe Primary 3.00 – 4.30pm, Eid arts workshops for children & parents together.
Grey Matters is a two year project that began September 13, making community theatre with older people across six European companies, and sharing work through touring each show to perform in another country. The Malcolm X Elders’ Theatre Company toured their show, Ticky Picky Boom Boom to the ICAF Festival in Rotterdam in March 2014.

The final performance of the show that toured Bristol primary schools last year, and performed at the International Community Arts Festival in Rotterdam earlier this year.
acta has made a successful bid to the EU Grundtvig Lifelong Learning Fund for Grey Matters, a two year project which will focus on making community theatre with older people. acta will work with our Malcolm X Elders Theatre Co to create the Ticky Picky Boom Boom show, which has been invited to perform at the ICAF Festival in Rotterdam next March
Generations come together, as the Recycled Teenagers lead acta’s development of new storytelling opportunities in Bedminster. If you have stories to share, live locally in Bedminster, and have a few hours spare each week, now is the time to get in touch. This latest intergenerational project follows a range of other artswork produced over the last few years…
