Funding has been secured from Arts Council England (Grants for the Arts) to create a new show with the Malcolm X Elders’ Theatre Company. Elders are keen to explore Caribbean folk stories in their next show, which will perform at the acta centre in November, before touring to schools across Bristol. The Company have also been invited to take it to perform at the next International Community Arts Festival (ICAF) in Rotterdam in March 14.

The group are about to start another project for children at Glenfrome Primary, Eastville over the next few weeks, helping children to use drama in their history topic about life in the fifties and sixties when the elders first arrived in Bristol from the Caribbean.
